Easy Company reaches Hitler's mountain retreat, raids Göring's wine cellars and hears that the war in Europe is over.
Above this Bavarian alpine town, Hitler's Berghof on the Obersalzberg served as his second seat of government, where he received Chamberlain in 1938 and held military conferences. In July 1944 Stauffenberg attended briefings there carrying a bomb he did not detonate. The RAF bombed the complex on 25 April 1945, and American and French troops reached the town and the Eagle's Nest in early May.
