What happened here

Munich was the birthplace of the Nazi party and of Hitler's failed Beer Hall Putsch of November 1923. At the Munich Agreement of September 1938, Britain and France let Germany annex the Sudetenland. On 8 November 1939 Georg Elser's bomb in the Bürgerbräukeller missed Hitler by 13 minutes. In February 1943 Hans and Sophie Scholl of the White Rose were arrested at the university and executed.
